Cherry’s story is a reminder of why we do what we do. This adorable girl came to us in the most deplorable state, but thanks to the generosity of our community, she has both made a full recovery and is living the life she’s always deserved.

Before this, Cherry had been living in terrible conditions. She arrived at our doors with a harness so deeply embedded in her chest, it was hard to look at. Stifling back our sobs, we rushed into action, doing whatever was possible to heal her from this heartbreaking situation.

Carefully, the vet removed the embedded harness. The process was delicate and time-consuming, but we didn’t want to cause her further harm. The next step was to treat the infection that had begun to develop with strong antibiotics. She was malnourished, so we prescribed her a nutritious, calorie-dense diet to bolster her strength.

Over the next few weeks, Cherry healed beautifully. Her infection diminished, and her chest was looking amazing. Our brave girl took it day by day, growing a little bit stronger and learning how to enjoy life again. She emerged from her shell, nestling into us for comfort and giving us plenty of kisses.

Then, months later, Cherry found an amazing home. The perfect family stepped forward after falling in love with our darling girl. Now, she spends her days playing with her fur siblings and having the absolute time of her life.
