We are overjoyed that we get to share the best kind of update—Pasqual has officially been adopted! This sweet boy has found his forever family, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. But before we get swept up in the celebration, we want to take a moment to reflect on the long and painful journey that led him here.

When we first found Pasqual, he was wandering the streets in a heartbreaking state. One of his limbs was missing, and what remained was an exposed bone surrounded by rotting, infected tissue. He was in unimaginable pain, but he was still holding on. We rushed him to the hospital, knowing he needed an urgent amputation to survive. We didn’t have the funds, but Pasqual couldn’t wait. We opted to move forward with the procedure.

While Pasqual was being prepped for surgery, we put out an emergency plea to the CUDDLY community, unsure of the response we would receive. As Pasqual went under, we held our breath. And then, against all odds, his surgery was a success! Pasqual pulled through. He spent the next few days recovering at the hospital. In the chaos, we didn’t have a moment to look back at his fundraising story, but when we did…

The results were incredible. Countless selfless animal lovers from all over the world had sent their support. We were able to pay down part of Pasqual’s outstanding medical bills. Just a few days later, this brave little soul got to enjoy the mountain of treats and care supplies sent by YOU.

As the weeks passed, Pasqual began to heal—really heal. His shyness melted away, revealing a sweet and affectionate personality. Everyone who met Pasqual fell in love, and before we knew it…
