Theo
Today, we get to share the happiest news—Theo has been adopted! After everything this brave pup has endured, he is finally home, surrounded by love and safety. We’re more than ready to celebrate, but before we do, we want to take a moment to look back at the challenges this sweetheart has overcome.
Long-time friends of our rescue will remember Theo and his brother Ezra’s heartbreaking start. As tiny puppies, they were subjected to horrific abuse. Theo was slung around on a leash, yanked into the air as though his little body were nothing more than a toy. Ezra, carried alongside him, had burns on his paw pads from walking on scorching pavement. They were just babies, yet they had already suffered so much.
After a short-term cruelty hold at the shelter, our team moved quickly to bring them into our care. By some miracle, neither pup had severe physical wounds, but Ezra’s burned paws needed careful treatment, and both boys desperately needed nutritious food, gentle handling, and a safe place to rest. Even though Theo and Ezra were no longer in danger, we knew the journey ahead would be long. And we couldn’t do it alone.
We put out a plea for help to the incredible CUDDLY community, and you answered without hesitation. Overnight, donations and gifts poured in. Your generosity stocked their bowls with healthy meals, filled their beds with soft blankets, and covered the medical care they needed to begin healing, both inside and out. Soon after, Theo and Ezra were healthy enough to head to Colorado, where each would search for the forever family they deserved.
And now, we finally get to share the news we’ve been waiting for. Theo has found his forever home! Through every moment of fear and pain in his past, this sweet boy never lost his gentle nature. His new family fell in love with that unshakable sweetness instantly, and now he has the promise of a future filled with love and joy.
To everyone who played a part in Theo’s journey, THANK YOU. You gave him a second chance when he needed it most. You turned a story of cruelty into one of compassion and hope. Today, Theo’s happy ending is as much yours as it is his. Welcome home, Theo!
