We are thrilled to share with you thatTwiggy has been adopted by her foster parents! This resilient Great Dane now looks so radiant and full of life. Seeing her safe, happy, and loved in her forever home fills our hearts with pure joy. But before we celebrate this beautiful ending, we want to take a moment to remember where Twiggy’s story began.

When we first met Twiggy, she was skin and bones. At just 75 pounds, her body was wasting away. The worst part? Twiggy’s condition wasn’t just the result of neglect. Instead, someone had intentionally starved this gentle soul. Her body was in full starvation mode. 

Twiggy’s recovery was anything but simple. Because her body wasn’t used to food anymore, we had to reintroduce meals carefully. This sweet girl tried desperately to eat everything she could find, and who could blame her? We knew the road ahead would be costly—between her medical care, a specialized diet, and the long-term support she needed, our resources were stretched thin. Unsure of how we could manage, we turned to the CUDDLY community for help.

And you came through in the most incredible way. Donations and gifts poured in. Our team received nutritious food, supplements, medicines, and even toys to help Twiggy feel like a dog again. With your support, Twiggy began to heal and grow stronger. She adjusted to her foster home quickly, leaning on her foster sister, Sassy—another alum from our rescue—to guide her. Though Twiggy sometimes mistook toys for snacks, her healing progress was undeniable.

Now, we are beyond overjoyed to announce that Twiggy is finally home! Her foster family fell head over heels for her and knew they couldn’t bear to let her go. Twiggy and Sassy are now inseparable sisters, living the happy, carefree life they both deserve. None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving Twiggy the second chance she needed. Welcome home, Twiggy!
