We’re overjoyed to share that Chacomo has been adopted—and it’s all thanks to you! This resilient pup is now soaking up his new life, spending his days on long walks, playing fetch, and basking in the love of his devoted new dad. But before we celebrate this happy ending, let’s take a look back at the journey that brought Chacomo here.

Chacomo’s story began in heartbreak. He was discovered by the local jail warden, huddled between two buildings with blood streaming from his head. His ear was torn with deep lacerations, his paw pad split open, and his little body bore the marks of what appeared to be a brutal attack. We didn’t know what had happened, but one thing was certain—Chacomo needed urgent medical care.

The moment we brought him in, our team rushed him to the hospital. Doctors immediately stitched his paw pad, X-rayed his leg and head (fearing he might have been shot), and took him into surgery to repair the severe wounds around his ear. By some miracle, Chacomo survived. That was just the beginning of his long road to recovery.

For weeks, he fought to heal. Slowly but surely, his spirit returned. The scared, broken pup began to blossom into a playful, adventurous, fun-loving companion. Each step forward was a sign that Chacomo’s light was shining again.

And then, the moment we’d all been waiting for—Chacomo found his forever home. Today, he’s living the life every dog deserves: running in the sun, soaking up belly rubs, and wrestling with his new dad.
