Today, Protect Animals Worldwide gets to share the happiest news—sweet Dory has officially been adopted! After everything this brave girl endured, she now has the forever family she always deserved. But before rescuers celebrate this beautiful new chapter in Dory’s life, they want to reflect on the challenges this sweetheart had to overcome to get here.

When rescuers first found Dory, she was wandering the streets in agony, her eye horribly protruding from its socket. They rushed her straight to the emergency hospital. At first, it was thought she may have been hit by a car, but vets quickly ruled that out. Instead, the deep puncture wounds across Dory’s head told another story. She was most likely attacked by another animal. Dory flinched at the gentlest touch to her face, her pain almost unbearable.

After a thorough evaluation, vets confirmed that Dory’s eye was damaged beyond repair. The only way to spare her from further suffering was an Enucleation surgery to remove the damaged eye. Anxious and desperate to help, Protect Animals Worldwide reached out to the CUDDLY community. And you answered. Donations poured in, giving Dory the life-saving procedure she needed.

The surgery went smoothly, and from that day forward, Dory’s healing journey truly began. Day by day, she grew stronger, braver, and more full of life. Her sweet spirit blossomed in a way rescuers had only dreamed of.

And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for… Dory has found her forever home! She’s with a wonderful family that has promised her endless love and care. Dory is finally surrounded by the joy and comfort she has always deserved.

Dory’s story is living proof that second chances change lives. To everyone who donated, shared her story, or sent messages of support, thank you. You made this transformation possible. Today, rescuers celebrate Dory’s journey and her well-deserved happy ending. Welcome home, Dory. You are so loved.
