Our sweet boy has officially gone home, and we couldn’t be happier! This adoption means the world to us! Tanner’s journey to this moment has been anything but easy. To see him happy, healthy, and loved after everything he’s been through is nothing short of a miracle.

When Tanner first came into our care, he was worn down by neglect and starvation. We’ll never forget the sight of him staggering through the streets, his ribs jutting out beneath patchy, inflamed skin. He was nothing but bones and heartbreak, suffering from a severe skin condition and the effects of prolonged starvation.

After traveling over eight and a half hours to reach our rescue, Tanner was rushed straight to the hospital. His condition was critical. He was anemic, dehydrated, his matted fur was crawling with fleas and mites, and he was so weak that he could barely stand. His gums were white, and it was clear he hadn’t eaten properly in weeks. We weren’t sure if his fragile little body would hold on long enough to recover.

Tanner spent weeks in the hospital, fighting for his life. There were moments we thought we might lose him. At one point, his anemia was so severe that he almost required a blood transfusion to survive. On top of that, our rescue was already drowning in medical bills from other emergency cases. We knew we needed help, and fast. We turned to our friends at CUDDLY and launched an urgent campaign for Tanner’s care.

What happened next felt like pure magic. Within hours of sharing his story, donations and gifts began pouring in. Our community came together in the most incredible way, ensuring Tanner received the life-saving treatment he needed. Slowly but surely, his strength returned. He began wagging his tail again. His coat started to grow back. And the sparkle in his eyes reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Once Tanner was stable enough to leave the hospital, he received his very first grooming. It felt like we were meeting a brand-new dog! Gone was the frail, broken puppy we’d rescued. In his place stood a bright, happy boy ready for a future filled with love and belly rubs.

And now, that future has arrived. Tanner has officially found his forever home! His days of hunger and loneliness are finally behind him. He’ll never have to wonder where his next meal is coming from or if someone will love him. To every single person who donated, shared, or believed in this sweet pup, thank you.
