When Miguel was found, he was starving, frail, and critically ill,  but despite everything he had endured, he never gave up. And today, we’re overjoyed to share the news we’ve all been waiting for: our tiny warrior has found his forever home!

Miguel’s story is the very definition of rescue at its finest—a chain of compassionate hearts working together to give one little soul a second chance. But before we celebrate, let’s take a moment to reflect on his incredible journey.

When Miguel first arrived at our rescue, he was in even worse shape than we had imagined. His hips and spine jutted sharply through his skin. His frail body was covered in sores, he was missing a toe, and tests revealed he was positive for heartworms. Poor Miguel was barely clinging to life.

For months, he fought to survive in the ER, even requiring a life-saving blood transfusion. His condition was touch-and-go for several weeks, but through it all, Miguel’s spirit never wavered. We knew there was light at the end of the tunnel; we just had to get him there.

And then, the moment we’d all been hoping for finally arrived. Miguel met his forever family! This brave boy boarded a flight to San Diego, where he’s now living his best life with his loving dad and new doggy brother.
