Francine
After months of fear, pain, healing, and hope, we are thrilled to share that Francine has officially been adopted! She now spends her days surrounded by love, held in gentle arms, and cherished by a family who sees her not for what she went through, but for the beautiful soul she is. Her journey has been long and heartbreaking, but it brought her exactly where she was always meant to be.
Francine’s story began in a place no animal should ever experience. She was found dragging her back legs through the streets, unable to stand, her body covered in agonizing injuries. Her bones were broken, she was exhausted, and it was clear she was living on borrowed time.
When we found Francine, it quickly became a race against the clock. We rushed her straight to the vet, where we received the devastating news: both femur bones were broken—one with a Salter-Harris type II fracture, the other requiring an avulsion repair where a bone needed to be surgically reattached. Even worse, she had no sensation in one of her back paws. Her pain was unimaginable. But Francine fought.S
he underwent a complex double femur surgery, where pins and plates were carefully placed to help her bones heal. Then came the hardest part—months of physiotherapy, constant vet checkups, and a long, demanding recovery filled with uncertainty. And through every moment, we stayed by her side. We held her, encouraged her, believed in her, and reminded her that she wasn’t alone.
And she didn’t just survive—she blossomed. Slowly, Francine regained strength. Her tiny legs grew sturdier. Her confidence returned. Her eyes, once filled with fear, began to shine with hope. Every step she took was a victory, every tail wag a miracle. And now, after everything she endured, Francine has stepped into the life she deserved all along. She has since been adopted into a loving forever home, where she is safe, adored, and treasured beyond measure.
Francine’s story is a reminder of why we never give up. Behind every broken bone, every scar, every frightened glance, there is a soul waiting for a chance at happiness. And none of this could have been possible without your support. Thank you to every single donor, supporter, and believer who stood by her. You made this miracle possible!
