Paula

We are overjoyed to share that Paula has been adopted. At a recent adoption event, she met the most incredible family, and it was truly love at first sight. After everything she has endured, she finally has the forever home she has always deserved.

When we first met her in August, Paula was a fragile senior who had been hit by a car. She was suffering all alone. One of her paws was nearly severed, and her other hind leg showed signs of an old, untreated fracture that had caused her constant pain. She was terrified, weak, and in a condition that would break even the most seasoned rescuer’s heart.

But Paula is a fighter. After her amputation and months of recovery, she healed beautifully in both body and spirit. Today, she is thriving in her new home with loving parents and a doggy brother who also has three legs, just like her!

Paula’s journey, and the stark contrast between how she was found and how she’s thriving now, is a reminder that resilience and love can overcome even the darkest beginnings. We wanted to officially congratulate this sweet girl and send her off in style with an official success story, even though we are still working to reach Paula’s fundraising goal to cover the costs of her surgery and care. To that end, every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue saving dogs like her and giving them their own happy ending.
