Francine

As you're reading this, Francine is in her forever fairytale, living the good life. Can you even believe it?!

When Francine was first found dragging her back legs through the streets of Brazil, her tiny body trembling in pain, we didn’t know if she would survive, let alone walk again. Both of her femurs were broken. One leg required a Salter-Harris type II repair; the other, an avulsion procedure. She had no sensation in one of her paws. Her injuries told a horrific story, one that we didn’t know if she could come back from or not.  

We carried her from that moment of desperation straight into the care she needed. Delicate double femur surgery, countless physiotherapy sessions, and months of dedicated recovery work were all we could think about. And lo and behold, through every setback and every small victory, Francine fought gracefully to stay alive, to stay healthy. She showed us her spirit was stronger than her past. Dogs are resilient in that way.

Now, for the grand finale…(drum roll, please)...Francine has been adopted! 

This brave girl, once broken and barely able to stand, now wakes up each morning in a warm, cozy bed, in a home filled to the brim with love. Her new family absolutely cherishes her, protects her, and gives her the gentle life she always deserved. Her eyes were once clouded with fear and confusion; now they glow with peace, comfort, and joy.

Francine’s journey is a testament to resilience, compassion, and community. To everyone who donated, shared her story, or kept her in your heart: you made this miracle possible. You turned tragedy into hope and hope into a forever home. Thank you for giving Francine her second chance. Her story didn’t end in the streets because YOU decided to come through. Now, thanks to our CUDDLY donors, Francine gets to blossom into the happiest chapter of all.
