Luli

Luli is finally home. She is safe, loved, and settling into her new life in the UK with a family who absolutely adores her. She now wakes up in a warm bed, explores her new surroundings with curiosity and confidence, and enjoys the simple joys she waited so long to experience. Watching her thrive is everything we dreamed of and more. This is the ending we all hoped for, but it only exists because so many people came together to change the course of her life.

Luli’s journey began in unimaginable cruelty. When she was just two months old in Egypt, a group of children threw her onto train tracks “for fun.” Her tiny body was severely injured, and veterinarians initially believed both of her back legs would need to be amputated. But we refused to give up on her. Through months of treatment, rehabilitation, and constant care, one of her legs was saved. Against all odds, Luli learned how to move again, becoming a joyful tripod who could run, play, and love with her whole heart.

As she healed, Luli waited. She lived in a private boarding facility in Egypt, watching other rescued dogs leave for families of their own. Even her closest canine companion was adopted, leaving Luli behind. Still, she remained gentle, patient, and hopeful. Then, after so much waiting, a miracle finally arrived. A family in London stepped forward to offer her a forever home, and a generous supporter in England helped cover part of her airport import costs. For the first time, Luli’s future felt real.

What stood between Luli and her new life was the final hurdle — funding her journey. The remaining costs included her travel crate, blood tests, rabies testing, parasite prevention, and transportation from Egypt to London. Deadlines approached, her travel date had to be postponed, and the pressure grew heavier with each passing day. This was her one chance. If the funds could not be raised, her opportunity would be lost. But once again, Luli was not alone. Supporters rallied, shared her story, donated, and refused to let her be left behind.

And then it happened. Luli boarded her freedom flight and began the journey that would change her life forever. She arrived safely in the UK, stepping into a world where she is no longer just a survivor of tragedy but a beloved family member first and foremost. Today, Luli is thriving in her new home.
