Luna

We are so proud of this sweet girl and are grateful beyond words to be able to share her FULL transformation story. She is so strong, so resilient, and so gentle all at once. We cannot wait for what’s in store for her and her loving family, and have many thanks to give to YOU for making this possible through your generous donations.

When Luna arrived at our shelter, her condition was heartbreaking. She was suffering from advanced TVT cancer and was in severe pain. Her tumors were bleeding and discharging. She needed help immediately. We knew her treatment would be long, difficult, and expensive, as is the case with TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor)but we also knew Luna deserved the chance to live without suffering.

Chemotherapy began as soon as she was safe in our care. Session by session, Luna fought with quiet strength. At first, progress was slow and fragile, but little by little, the changes appeared. The bleeding began to stop. Her energy started to return. Her body, once overwhelmed by illness, slowly began to heal. By early November, the news we had all been hoping for arrived: Luna had successfully overcome TVT. She was strong enough to be spayed, marking another important step toward a healthier future.

But Luna’s journey didn’t stop there. Over the course of her recovery, she completed EIGHT chemotherapy sessions…she’s such a trooper! With every passing week, we watched her transform. The fear and exhaustion faded. Her strength returned. Her spirit came back to life.

And then came the ending that makes every sleepless night and every difficult case worth it. The same kind-hearted person who found Luna, refused to leave her behind, and brought her to us for help, made the beautiful decision to adopt her. Today, Luna is fully recovered, safe, and finally home.

Luna’s story is a powerful reminder of what happens when compassion meets action. Because of support, medical care, and YOUR unwavering dedication, Luna didn’t just survive…she thrived. Thank you to everyone who stood beside her on this journey. You helped turn suffering into hope, and hope into a forever home.
