When a compassionate stranger spotted Jimmy wandering in search of food, his tiny body was already shutting down. At just six months old, this baby’s ribs protruded through his dull coat, and his exhausted eyes seemed to plead for help he’d long stopped expecting. Jimmy was rushed to the vet, where doctors confirmed that severe malnutrition and anemia had worn away his health. Jimmy was too weak to regulate his basic bodily functions and had to remain hospitalized, fighting for stability with every ounce of strength he had left.

Those first days were extremely delicate. Jimmy was so thin that it hurt just to look at him. His dry skin flaked off in patches, and his body was fatigued beyond measure.
