Rikki

After everything she’s endured, this once-suffering pup has made a full, incredible recovery, and it’s all thanks to you. Today, we are thrilled to share that Rikki has been adopted! The pain that once consumed her is gone, replaced with comfort, safety, and a family who will cherish her for the rest of her life. Rikki is no longer just surviving… she’s finally living the life she always deserved.

Not long ago, Rikki was suffering in ways no animal ever should. She lingered outside a local store in a truly heartbreaking state—nearly hairless, her skin raw and inflamed from severe mange, cracking and bleeding with every movement. She itched constantly, desperate for relief that never came. Large, painful wounds covered her fragile body, and scraps of food were all she had to survive. This was her reality, until someone chose to care.

A Good Samaritan spotted Rikki and refused to look away. They reached out for help, and our team rushed to her side. With the help of Animal Control, she was safely captured and immediately transported for emergency care. What followed was a long and difficult healing journey. Rikki required intensive medical treatment—medications, antibiotics, pain management, IV fluids, and countless medicated baths to soothe her damaged skin. Day by day, slowly but surely, her body began to heal.

And then something even more beautiful happened—Rikki’s spirit began to heal too. As her fur started to grow back and her wounds closed, Rikki transformed. The scared, suffering dog we rescued began to show us who she truly was. She learned to trust again. She discovered what it felt like to be safe, to be cared for, and to rest without pain. And now, she has it all.

Rikki has been adopted! Today, she is surrounded by love, comfort, and the family she waited so long for. None of this would have been possible without the compassion and generosity of those who stepped up when she needed it most.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared her story, and stood by her during her recovery. You didn’t just save her life. You gave her the future she always deserved!
