Today, we are thrilled to share the good news. Iggy has been adopted! After fighting his way back from the very edge of death, this pup is finally safe in the arms of a family who will love him forever. Because of you, Iggy’s story did not end in tragedy—it became a miracle. Thank you for standing with him when he needed it most. Your compassion and generosity are the reason he is alive today.

When Iggy was first found, he was just seven months old, yet already at the brink of collapse. He was discovered cowering behind a local store, alone, his body covered in scars, trembling from weakness. By the time he reached the shelter, his body condition score was a devastating 1 out of 9—the lowest it can be. He was quite literally starving to death. When we pulled him, it was immediately clear this was a fight for his life.

Iggy was rushed straight to the hospital, where he received an emergency blood transfusion just to stabilize him. His frail body had been ravaged by weeks, possibly months, of neglect, starvation, and untreated flea and parasite infestations that had caused life-threatening anemia. Every moment was critical. And still, he fought.

The days that followed were filled with constant monitoring, medications, and careful, round-the-clock care. There were moments of hope, but they were fragile and fleeting. Then, just as it seemed he might be stabilizing, Iggy took a devastating turn. He crashed.

He was rushed in for emergency treatment and transferred for intensive overnight care, where he received plasma transfusions, fluids, a dextrose drip, and extensive diagnostics. We waited anxiously for answers, not knowing if his body could endure any more. But Iggy refused to give up.

Slowly, over weeks that turned into months, he began to heal. His body, once skeletal and failing, started to regain strength. It wasn’t a straight path. There were setbacks, long nights, and ongoing medical needs, but through it all, he kept going. And so did you.

Because of your support, we were able to continue his care even as medical bills climbed into the thousands. You gave him the time he needed. The chance he deserved. The future he almost never had. And then, one day, it finally happened. After everything he had endured, after months of fighting to survive and learning how to simply be a puppy again, Iggy met his family.

The day he was adopted was nothing short of extraordinary. The same dog who once couldn’t stand walked out the door with people who saw his worth and who promised him a lifetime of love and safety. That is the ending every rescue hopes for.

Iggy’s journey was long, painful, and uncertain, but because of you, it didn’t end in tragedy. It ended in a home and in love. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of his story. You didn’t just help save Iggy’s life—you helped him find it.
