We can hardly believe we get to share this incredible update. Our sweet Bunny has not only overcome a terrifying medical crisis, but she’s also found her forever home! After everything she endured, this precious girl is loved beyond measure and finally able to breathe easy. Our hearts are overflowing with joy. Let’s take a look at how this sweet Persian cat’s rescue journey unfolded.

Bunny’s story took a sudden and frightening turn. What was supposed to be a routine dental procedure quickly spiraled into an emergency when she began struggling to breathe just hours after being discharged. Bunny was rushed back to the ER, where she was placed on oxygen and closely monitored through the night. We paced the halls, terrified for her, as the doctors fought to stabilize her.

As veterinarians searched for answers, the situation became even more complex. Imaging revealed that Bunny had an enlarged heart, a possible diaphragmatic hernia, and severe airway abnormalities. On top of that, there were concerns about a life-threatening infection while she was still healing from her procedures. Bunny went from undergoing routine care to suddenly experiencing a medical crisis in the blink of an eye, and we knew she would need intensive, ongoing treatment to survive.

We turned to the CUDDLY community in one of our most desperate moments… and you showed up. Your support made it possible for Bunny to receive the care she so urgently needed, including an additional surgery. Thanks to your speedy intervention and the dedication of her medical team, Bunny began to stabilize. Slowly but surely, we started to see glimpses of her spunky personality return, even if she wasn’t too thrilled about wearing a cone.

Bunny’s recovery wasn’t easy, but it was filled with love. In her foster home, Bunny received the care and comfort she needed to heal physically and emotionally. Day by day, she grew stronger. The fragile, struggling kitty we once feared losing began to transform right before our eyes.

And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Bunny has found her forever family. After spending time in a foster-to-adopt home, the perfect match came forward and made her theirs for good.
