Alicia has been adopted! After everything she endured, this sweet girl is finally home. She is safe, loved, and exactly where she always deserved to be. We cannot thank our supporters enough for making this happy ending possible. Your donations, shares, and compassion gave Alicia the second chance that changed her life forever.

When Alicia was first found, the condition she was in was absolutely heartbreaking. Her fur was so severely matted it pulled painfully at her skin. Fleas covered her body. Large patches of hair were missing from both sides of her chest, leaving raw and wounded skin exposed. As if that wasn’t enough, she had an actively bleeding fistula, an umbilical hernia, severe dental disease, and concerning discharge that raised fears of a potentially life-threatening infection.

It was impossible to look at her and not wonder how long she had been hurting with no one to help her. But even after all of it, Alicia still had fight left in her. Once she came into rescue, her healing journey began. She received the urgent veterinary workup she needed, along with diagnostics, medications, wound care, pain management, and treatment for the many conditions she had been carrying for far too long. Day by day, she started to feel relief.

Recovery did not happen overnight. It took time for her body to heal and for her spirit to trust that life could be kind again. Over the following weeks, Alicia slowly transformed. The dog who once looked unrecognizable began to shine, and her personality blossomed. Then came the day we had all been hoping for. The day Alicia met the family meant for her!

Alicia is no longer the dog who was thrown away when she was no longer “useful.” She is now a cherished family member with a soft bed, loving arms, and a lifetime of happiness ahead of her. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in Alicia. Thank you for helping carry her from suffering to healing to home. Because of you, her story became one of hope.
