Because of YOUR incredible support, Jackie has completely transformed. When we first met her, she was a starvation-stunted puppy navigating the world on wobbly, bowed legs, too small for her age and passed over again and again by families who wanted a healthier pup. After parasite treatment, proper nutrition, and months of patient care, Jackie has doubled in weight, her legs have straightened, and she has found her forever family, all thanks to you.

Our team first met Jackie through a desperate plea from the shelter. This sweet baby had arrived there in heartbreaking condition: skinny, riddled with parasites, and far too small for her age. The shelter staff did the best they could with limited supplies, but Jackie had been waiting for too long. As a bow-legged, undersized pup, she watched families walk the halls and choose healthier puppies, and our hearts broke imagining how many days she spent in her kennel wondering why no one wanted her. 

We could not let her keep waiting. We accepted Jackie into our rescue and promised her that we would do everything we could to help her recover so she could finally find a family of her own. At the time, our team was still slowly recovering from a shortage of puppy food and critical supplies, but we knew this little girl could not wait, and we knew the CUDDLY community would stand with us. 

The day after she came into our care, we brought Jackie to our vet. Testing confirmed that her frail body was battling life-sucking parasites, so we started her on medication right away and built a plan to help her regain a healthy weight. As for her bowed front legs, the doctor asked us to give them time, hoping that with proper nutrition and TLC the bend caused by malnutrition would correct itself. We knew her gait would need close monitoring, since these conditions can become painful as puppies grow, and we were prepared to bring in a specialist if she needed one. 

Through all of it, Jackie stayed the sweetest girl. Even on those wobbly legs, she ran around as best she could, played with the other pups, and embraced every moment of life outside the shelter walls. Her resilience never wavered, and it was impossible to be near her without believing she would make a wonderful companion one day. 

Then came the news we had been hoping for. With time, good food, and the medical care your donations made possible, Jackie blossomed. She doubled in weight, her legs straightened, and she grew into the happy, healthy pup we always knew she could be. Soon she was strong enough to be spayed and ready to begin the search for her forever home. 

And the very best part: Jackie found her family. After everything she survived, after all those days spent watching others get chosen, she is finally home, loved and cherished exactly the way she deserves. None of it would have been possible without you. Your generosity paid for her parasite treatment, her nourishing food, and the care that helped her tiny body heal and grow strong, turning what once looked like insurmountable challenges into the first steps of a beautiful new life.
