Willow

Because of YOUR incredible generosity, Willow has gone from the one cat left behind to a cat who has it all. After surviving a devastating hoarding situation alongside dozens of others, she was the only one whose medical needs were too extensive to cover, so she waited. Today, she is healed, adopted, and living a life none of us could have imagined for her.
Willow was one of 45 cats pulled from an overwhelming hoarding situation. While so many of her companions were trapped, vetted, and safely placed with rescue partners, Willow could not move on. Her medical needs were significant, and without the funds to cover her care, she had no safe place to go. So she stayed behind, the last one still waiting.
Willow was living in constant pain. She needed an eye enucleation and major dental work just to feel relief. Her eye was small, firm, and oddly formed. She had already lost 9 teeth, and 10 more diseased teeth needed to be surgically extracted. Every day she went without surgery was another day of silent suffering.
While we worked to raise the funds, Willow waited in a loving foster home. We will be honest: we had not raised enough during the original rescue to cover every cat, and Willow's care was the gap we could not close alone. But we refused to forget the one who still needed us most.
On April 21st, Willow finally got her chance. In a single visit, her damaged eye was removed and her dental work was completed. She was also spayed and given all the veterinary care she had gone so long without. The first days were rough, but each day she grew a little stronger.
Back with her foster family, Willow began to bloom. She traded pain for lap naps and long afternoons watching birds from the window. After coming from a home with more than 40 cats, she soaked up every bit of the one-on-one attention. For the first time, she could rest, eat without discomfort, and simply be a cat.
Then came the moment we had been hoping for. Willow found her forever home. This remarkable girl was adopted by a retired physician who travels between Ohio and a luxury condo in Key West, Florida. The cat who was once left behind now has a devoted family, two homes, and a future full of comfort and love.
None of this would have been possible without you. Your donations paid for Willow's surgery, her recovery, and the second chance she so deeply deserved. You did not forget her, and because of that, she will never be forgotten again. Thank you for standing with Willow through the very end of her wait, and the beginning of her best life.
With love,
