The young mother who spent her days caring for four hungry babies while living with a painful, untreated eye injury has finally found a home of her own. After everything she gave to her kittens, Jen Onvi now knows what it feels like to be the one who is cared for and loved.

When Jen Onvi came to us as a stray, she was only 10 months old, barely past kittenhood herself, with four five-week-old kittens depending on her: Jessie, Jamie, Jessica, and Jodie. Her right eye had prolapsed and appeared on the verge of rupturing, most likely the result of some form of trauma that was never treated during her life on the streets. It was a condition that caused persistent discomfort and could have become dangerous if left unaddressed. And yet, through all of it, she never stopped being sweet. She was present, affectionate, and devoted, giving her babies everything she had while her own body carried this injury.

We knew she deserved relief. Our plan was to have her fully evaluated and to address her damaged eye at the same time as her spay, so she would only have to go under anesthesia once. Thanks to your generosity, Jen Onvi received the care she needed to heal, and she was finally free to be exactly who she had always been: a purring, biscuit-making, head-leaning sweetheart with her whole life ahead of her.

Once she was back to health, Jen Onvi was transported to one of our trusted rescue partners to begin her journey toward a forever home. Not long after, we received the news we had been hoping for. Jen Onvi has officially been adopted. The little mom who survived the streets and put her babies first now has a family who will put her first.

None of this would have been possible without YOU. Your CUDDLY donations helped cover her care, her recovery, and the support her kittens needed as they grew. You gave Jen Onvi more than treatment. You gave her the chance to heal and finally discover what it feels like to be loved. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your generosity and for being part of her story.
