There are really no words to describe the nightmarish condition that Foster was first rescued in.
He was found bloodied, barely breathing, and succumbing to multiple bite wounds spanning the entirety of his body and face. ALL four legs had to be wrapped, some put in casts, and remained in critical condition in the ER for days.
Houston K-911 stepped up immediately to get this poor boy the emergency medical care that he so desperately needed – multiple surgeries, hourly bandage changes, and lots of antibiotics, medicine, and physical therapy. It was an incredibly difficult road for Foster, and he had some setbacks along the way, including a big infection (which his miracle-working vets addressed right away!).
But Foster was never alone. Along with his rescuers and the amazing vets at the hospital, YOU all – our CUDDLY Family – made sure this special boy got the medical attention, the healing items, and the funds that he needed to make a FULL recovery.
Foster received an overwhelmingly awe-inspiring outpour of support. Your donations gave him a bed to sleep on; they gave him skin ointments and sprays to heal. They provided so much love and happiness to a baby that has not felt that in a long time, and that's something truly special. THANK YOU! And not only did Foster get mountains of wishlist items (which he's so nicely sharing with all his pals at the Rescue), your generosity and support helped raise and EXCEED Foster's surgical/medical goal of $10,000.
Together, the donors of CUDDLY raised $10,565 – and the BEST part is, the generosity is now helping more of Foster's rescue buddies get the essential medical care they need to flourish, too! A BIG thank you to everyone who loved and supported this sweet boy through all of his ups and downs. He survived some horrific circumstances to say the least, but thanks to all of you, he's been able to find his perfect fur-ever home with his new mommy – who also happened to be his vet tech at the hospital!
We LOVE sharing in these special moments, because it's animals like Foster are the ones that make this all worth it. Happy tails, Foster!
