Somewhere out there is the human who decided it was a good idea to splash a litter of kittens with blue, latex paint and literally throw them into the trash.
Five kittens, all matted and sticky with paint, cried out day and night for someone to come find them - thankfully, someone eventually did, but as the group was pulled from the bin, two kittens stood out. Jack Jack and Spirit. Out of the entire litter, these two were in horrible shape. Jack Jack was 4 weeks old and had suffered such an extreme injury to his eye that he could no longer see from it. Spirit was filthy, cold, and had a zip-tie fastened around his tail. Yes, you read that correctly. A ZIP TIE. He was in so much pain by this piece of plastic that he screamed out when touched.
The two were taken in by rescuers at Partners-4-Paws and from there, starting to receive immediate treatment. Jack Jack had to eventually lose his eye after it suddenly ruptured and Spirit had to have his tail amputated because of the trauma caused by the foreign plastic. It was terrible - but this necessary treatment could NOT have been done if not for CUDDLY donors and supporters everywhere that showed Jack Jack and Spirit all the love in the world and helped raise over $2000 for their care. After being discharged from the hospital, these two brothers rested and recovery and over the weeks, put their past behind them. And despite the fact that they live forever without a tail and an eye because of some human's actions, we are happy to announce that both these SURVIVORS have found a forever home where they will be loved eternally
None of this could have happened without you. This beautiful, happy ending wouldn't have been possible without your love and support - so please know just how grateful we are to you all.
