Apollo

After being violently struck by a motorcycle, poor Apollo was left to suffer in agony for over a week. Despite the fractured bones protruding from his body, his owners ignored and deprived him of the medical attention he so desperately needed. 

When multiple reports came in about this dog, Rescate Fenix intervened and Apollo was surrendered to them. It was clear that this precious pup had been suffering for quite some time as he was emaciated and severely dehydrated. After rushing him to the vet clinic, it was discovered that Apollo would need orthopedic surgery. Apollo spent a few weeks at the emergency vet receiving IVs, fluids, and supplements to give some strength before undergoing surgery. Apollo needed both his hind legs amputated as they weren't able to be saved because they were old fractures that were never tended to. 

It was a long journey for Apollo, but his amazing foster mom made sure he was loved and cared for every step of the way. After two months, Apollo made a remarkable recovery and he received his vaccinations to be able to come to the US to start his new beginning in life. 

It wasn't long before Apollo found his loving, forever home because, on April 24, 2021, this sweet boy finally found a forever family to call his own. We couldn't be happier for Apollo!
