After Aqua came to MatchDog Rescue, he was immediately taken to see the vet because he seemed to be favoring one paw. It turned out he had a broken leg that wasn't ever going to heal properly AND he also had a chest infection.

The vet felt amputation would be best for Aqua to enable him a life where his foot and leg would not cause him pain and suffering. Aqua had to wait a month to get the surgery done as he had a nasty chest infection that took weeks to go away. Thankfully, the surgery was a success, and Aqua didn't return home to his foster family, but rather into the arms of his forever family!! Aqua (now named Flapjack) was adopted knowing he would be having his leg amputated, and be a tripod! He is recovering well with love and support in his new forever home!

All because of Flapjack's wonderful CUDDLY supporters, he is living the life in his forever home while being spoiled by his family with his two greyhound sisters! He also shares his space with cats who he has learned to respect and admire from a distance! His new family describes him as a perfect gentleman with the sweetest soul! He sleeps every night curled in between mum and dad. They describe Flapjack as an incredibly necessary addition to their lives. How lucky for Flapjack to be matched so perfectly! Flapjack's amputation site is healing incredibly well. In just a few more days, the sutures will be removed, and Flapjack will be able to run around!

Flapjack began his life as an abandoned puppy who was set to be euthanized, but now he gets his happy ending with a loving family. Together we changed this sweet boy's life forever and we cannot thank you enough!
