Milo

13-week-old Milo was in need of a miracle when his family brought him into the local hospital and abandoned him there. His leg was snapped in the more horrid degree, he was pale, lethargic, and his body was fighting against a virus that was trying to kill him.

They were quick to leave him; his family. Quick to leave and quick to deny knowing anything about his broken leg and his obvious illness. Seeing as this little boy was whining out in pain and clearly not feeling well, staff weren't too sure how this was possible, but it didn't matter. Milo was alone and without a family to help him - and because of this, he was set to be euthanized.

When rescuers from Sauver Des Cheins first heard about Milo's predicament, they couldn't help but feel angered and sad - all at the same time - for his boy. He deserved so much more than what he got. Without a second thought, they told the hospital that they would take care of him and have approved for doctors to do whatever they need to save his life. He desperately needed fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication. X-rays were also done and showed that Milo was suffering from not one, but three fractures - with the rear leg fracture being the worst. Because of the severity of these breaks, he would need surgical correction. But, Milo was still too weak and fighting off Parvovirus. It wasn't safe that he undergo surgery just yet so medical teams, for days, had to focus on providing him with the pain management he needed while also clearing him of the deadly virus.

It took work and sweet Milo was a trooper in all of this. After days of supportive care, Milo went into surgery and had his legs worked on. Pins were placed and all his fractures were stabilized. He was then discharged for recovery and spent weeks engaging in rest, physical therapy, and rechecks.

Keeping this little puppy down was no easy task, but his rescuers and fosters were there every step of the way. And with the help of CUDDLY donors, who were able to contribute over $6000 towards his care as well as send dozens of supplies for his recovery, Milo's got better by the day. He overcame all the pain and was SUCH a good boy. This is why we are so happy to announce Milo's adoption. After enduring weeks of treatment, Milo found his forever home and is now with some of the best humans on this planet. He will never know pain again and will be cherished until the end of his days.

Thank you so much to everyone for making this happen. It was a mission to get Milo better but together, WE DID IT!
