Gary

When he was just four months old, Gary was dumped behind a bayou in a pond with nothing but a collar. To make matters even worse, he couldn't move his body nor walk out to safety due to his crippled condition.

After taking him in and getting him medically evaluated, we learned that he had a severe congenital malformation of his thoracic vertebrae - which is probably the reason why he was dumped in the first place. He wasn't paralyzed but had deep pain sensations. He could move his hind limbs and had the ability to potty on his own but was likely going to need extensive physical therapy and surgery to get him up and walking again.

We went through numerous consultations with him over the course of weeks and were able to help rid him of any pain however, learned that his condition could not be surgically repaired. With that said, we still wanted our boy to be able to walk and move around as he should so we got him a pair of wheels and taught him to use them. It's been quite a journey for Gary and although he had such a rough beginning, we are so happy to give you all the best news.

Gary has been ADOPTED. That's right. He's found his forever. After rehabilitating him and getting him set up on wheels, we started looking for a couple that would show him the love and kindness that he deserves. And we are just so happy to tell you all that we found them.

We also wanted to take a moment and tell you all how grateful we are for your generosity. With the help of CUDDLY and CUDDLY donors, Gary was able to raise over $1500 for his medical care, which is HUGE. Being a non-profit organization, it's donations like these that drive us and help make happy ever afters like Gary's possible.
