Napoleon

This, here, is Napoleon. And boy, is his story amazing.

What can I say about what he has been through? Months ago, this sweet boy was found on the streets of Cairo, Egypt with his neck severed so deep, that it looked like someone had tried to cut off his head. The cut was so deep that it was only millimeters away from cutting the arteries which would have killed him.

It was the most gruesome sight.

Here at Stray Dog Support, we see bad cases every day but this was such a horrific case of animal cruelty that it shook everyone to the core like never before. The moment we got to him, we had him rushed to the hospital where he underwent lifesaving treatment. Treatment that never would have been possible if not for our amazing supporters and CUDDLY, who helped us fundraise thousands of dollars for the care he needed.

It took the vet many months of intensive care to close his neck wounds up because they were so intense. But throughout all his recovery, he was so brave and courageous, and he never stopped being a happy and loving boy. And little by little, he healed. When he was ready, Napoleon traveled to Canada in April 2022 where a beautiful family took him in and where he now spends his days happy and carefree. They say that he is gorgeous and perfect and are amazed at how well the wounds have healed where he had his throat cut open. He loves to lay on the couch and enjoys playing with his toys and his fur sibling who is also an Egyptian rescue dog. His new daddy, and him are already the best of friends and we are incredibly thrilled for him as he has hit the jackpot of families.
