Wolfie

This is Wolfie, he started his journey to us when he was brought into the shelter as a stray after he was attacked by 2 other dogs.

Wolfie was clearly in need of a rescuer, as he was severely underweight and covered in extensive wounds that smelled of infected, necrotic tissue. With the severity of his case, our rescue wasted no time in getting him to the hospital where they immediately assessed him and informed us that his wounds were indeed infected and would need to be cleaned in order to debride the dead tissue from them. 

As weeks passed by, we dedicated our time to restoring his body through multiple medical treatments which allowed us to save his ears from the dying tissue that was working hard to overpower him. We also set on a journey to put weight back onto his starved body, which wasn’t easy but we are happy to say was officially accomplished. Through the efforts of so many and the perseverance of this amazing pup, his body healed from all the suffering! 

BUT…that’s not even the best part! After months of processing applications and vetting potential adopters, Wolfie found his perfect home with a family in Canada! Yep, you heard it right, this brave fighter has been ADOPTED!! We can’t think of a better ending to his story than this. A boy with no hope, defeated through countless attacks is now a beloved family member who will spend the rest of his days basking in the love they have to offer.
