It was just another day for an animal control officer when they got the call about a stray dog roaming the streets. However, to their dismay, they discovered a tiny, precious - incredibly raw - puppy quivering behind the dog.

After arriving at the rural shelter, Reclaimed Paws received Patrick’s urgent plea. And sometimes, no matter how badly we financially need to say no, a dog like this little boy comes along and there is no chance we could turn our back. 

At only 10 weeks old, Patrick’s body revealed a tale of nightmares. Instead of Patrick’s skeletal body having fur, it had been replaced by painfully raw, bleeding scabs due to a SEVERE case of Demodex Mange. On top of his entire body being camouflaged in unimaginably uncomfortable flaky skin, Patrick was also suffering from a leaky gut making his belly so uncomfortably bloated.
