Snowy

When Snowy was first found as a stray and brought to a local shelter, each of the bones protruding from under her skin made it evident that she had felt the persistent ache of starvation for a VERY long time.

This 10-year-old red-listed little lady was sprung from LA’s highest kill shelter! After bringing her in, we were unsure of what medical condition she was suffering from, but we began caring for her despite that! During Snowy’s time in our care, her journey was filled with highs and lows.  The first low came when we had to rush her back to the vet as she was still suffering from a nasty upper respiratory infection. To rid her of this, she was started on steroids that quickly rid her body of the condition. 

After her body healed up, Snowy’s right eye was operated on, allowing her full use! Unfortunately, her left eye was way too far gone, but that didn’t matter to her because she was still so excited to be able to see the world with her good eye. This surgery allowed Snowy to run and play, making up for how she’s been denied for so long!

We are so happy for Snowy and the incredible life we know she’s gonna live now that she’s healed. BUT…what excites us, even more is that this brave senior has been ADOPTED! Yup…you heard that right! Snowy has been placed with the most fantastic mom and dad, who can’t wait to give her the BEST life ever!
