Bocce

When Baby Bocce was first brought to our rescue, he was on the verge of death. He was quite literally fighting to see the next day. Fighting for a life, he's yet to live. But this little boy wasn't always struggling like this…he wasn't born sick- humans did this to him!

We first learned about this boy when his owners contacted us about taking him in. He wasn't ill at the time, but he was unvaccinated and had been deprived of all the necessary vetting, which at his age, was incredibly dangerous. And because the local shelters in the area were all closed due to capacity limits, we were his owner's last hope. So, we arranged to bring him to us before anything could happen, but his owner never showed. Then, everything suddenly went silent, and we didn't hear anything from his owner until a few days later, when she reached out again, saying that Bocce was throwing up violently and barely moving.

Heartbroken by this news, we immediately set up another plan to get Baby Bocce to us and finally got him into our arms. But, unfortunately, it was almost too late for him by that point, and it was hard not to feel anger at the whole situation. Had we got him a week ago like we originally planned, Bocce wouldn't have gotten so sick, and we wouldn't have been there, crying and holding a lifeless, limp, and ghost-white puppy in our arms as we rushed him to the ER.

BUT…Bocce is a fighter, and the unthinkable soon began to happen! Finally, this parvo-ridden puppy began to get better! Thankfully, Bocce fought hard, and he made it; we only wish we could say the same for the other puppies fighting for their lives. With his body healed up, Bocce could finally receive the vetting he never did, allowing him to focus all his energy on finding his perfect family match! 

AND…his efforts paid off, as Bocce has finally found his forever home, and we couldn't be happier for him! We can't wait to hear about all the incredible adventures. Finally, bocce will now get to experience his new, loving home! But none of this would have been possible without you, who donated through the CUDDLY platform!
