Sherman

 Sherman was adopted by a wonderful retired couple in CT, he arrived a few weeks ago and was welcomed with open arms. It's always a long journey all the way from Louisiana up to a better life in CT, but for a life time of happiness and comfort a few day trip is really a breeze. Sherman is a great traveler, and walked through the front door of his new house Saturday afternoon ready to live the rest of his life! One of Sherman's owners has Leukemia that is currently in remission!! They will have a great time relaxing together. Sherm is the perfect couch companion and his new people have already agreed he is an expert cuddler! 

Sherman has already found his spot up on the couch (clearly it was very comfortable) and even got to test out the recliner. Life is certainly looking up and has already been so mucho better than living in the Bayou of South Texas. Sherm went to the groomer and was able to get beautified. His skin is recovering from the burns and Infection, and his beautiful coat is starting to grow back. He is comfortable and is so lucky to get to live the best life has to offer! We are so thankful to families who take in our middle aged and senior dogs, they are really truly some of the best dogs that cross into the rescue world! Sherman will be so missed by our household but we are so lucky to be a part of his second chance!
