"Due to William's heart-shattering condition, we can only assume he has spent the last 13 years of his life on the street. Every single bone is protruding from under his skin and every crevice of his body is painted in agonizing sores. 

This precious senior was discovered on the street of Edinburg, Texas, and then brought to the local shelter. While he was finally saved, he had all the odds against him being a senior with a laundry list of medical issues. So, the moment rescuers at The Pawerful Rescue received William's urgent plea they just knew they couldn’t let him spend one more night on that concrete floor."...

Once William was in our care, we thought he was in the clear. We took him to the vet and he began being treated for his severe skin issues and the wounds that covered his body. We discovered that he needed quite a few teeth removed as well, but we thought we were on the right track.

That was until William stopped eating. He began throwing up and was extremely lethargic. We rushed him to the vet and that is when we found out that he had an obstruction that needed to be surgically removed. We were not expecting this, but we told them to go ahead and do whatever it was that needed to be done.

He had his procedure and it went extremely well! We are now happy to report that he is doing so good, and has made a 100% recovery! If that wasn't awesome enough, we were also beyond excited to share that this sweet guy had been adopted!! He now has a forever home that he will spend the rest of his days in, with a family that loves him so much!
