Charlie

Sweet little Charlie was dumped at an animal shelter in central Georgia covered in fleas and suffering from a severe double eye infection. However, by the time poor Charlie got to the vet, his eyes were damaged beyond repair and had to be enucleated.

Thanks to the generous donations of our supporters, Charlie was able to receive lifesaving surgery to remove his infected eyes before the infection spread to the rest of his body.

After several weeks of rest and medication, Charlie recovered well from surgery and is adjusting to his newfound life without eyes. Fortunately, cats are highly adaptable animals and often learn quickly to live with their vision loss. They're generally as easy to care for as any other pet. In fact, adopting a blind cat can make a great addition to a family.

Charlie recently moved into a new foster home and has other kittens to play with who can match his high energy levels. In fact, Charlie isn't deterred by his blindness and loves to run around the house in the excitement of his great new life.

Great news! Charlie and his bonded buddy, Bourbon, have been adopted together into a loving forever home with an amazing new owner. Charlie already adores his new mama and loves laying in her lap and getting lots of pets.

Of course, Charlie's new life wouldn't have been possible without our generous supporters and awesome partners at CUDDLY who helped share Charlie's remarkable story and made his lifesaving surgery possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking a chance on Charlie and giving him the life he deserves.
