We love a good success story. From staring down the barrel of her former owner's shotgun to traveling the world with her beloved new family (including a Beagle sister), Prissy Ann's miraculous journey tugs at all the heartstrings
Prissy Ann's story began in a fear-driven home with hostile owners who disliked dogs and, with hatred-filled hearts, nearly ended Prissy's life with a loaded shotgun. Fortunately, Prissy Ann was surrendered to Dirt Road Doggies with her life still intact.
Unfortunately, Prissy Ann arrived at our rescue suffering from severe whipworms, hookworms, roundworms, a skin infection, extreme malnourishment, and an infestation of fleas and ticks. Needless to say, she was absolutely defeated.
Over time, and with the help of strong antibiotics, medications, and veterinary treatment, Prissy Ann's aching skin began to heal and she learned that not all humans are unkind. Although she's been traumatized by endless abuse and neglect, our patience and positivity eventually helped her to slowly open up and trust us. She started to play with toys and other dogs and even began cuddling in my lap, which is a huge improvement for a dog that was terrified of people.
Then, little Prissy Ann received a huge blessing when she was adopted by an amazingly loving family from South Georgia. After losing their beloved senior dog last year, the adopters are thrilled to welcome Prissy Ann to their family.
Together, Prissy Ann and her new family (including a Beagle sister) will embark on amazing adventures in their RV and relax at the family's cabin in the foothills of North Georgia.
We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to rescue Prissy Ann from neglectful darkness and transform her world into a joyous adventure. She deserves all the love and happiness in the world!
Of course, Prissy Ann's new life wouldn't have been possible without our generous supporters and awesome partners at CUDDLY who helped share Prissy Ann's remarkable story and made her lifesaving transformation possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking a chance on Prissy Ann and giving her the life she deserves.
