Natasha

Poor Natasha was found abandoned in a trash-filled yard with an empty stomach and a broken heart. She could barely walk or stand and was in constant, excruciating pain from severe burns all over her emaciated body. Sadly, Natasha was just skin and bones and looked more like a skeleton with skin than a healthy dog.

Natasha is the most emaciated dog we've ever rescued and has endured more pain and suffering in her short life than we could ever possibly imagine. She had infected paw pads on every toe and her toenails were all separated from their nail beds.

When we first met Natasha, she was understandably terrified of people and had developed aggressive protective behaviors to ward off abusers. Natasha was enrolled in an intensive training program to help her develop healthier behaviors.

Over time, Natasha learned how to trust (and eventually love) people. She even began barking less, cuddling with her trainer, and accepting pets and belly rubs. This is great progress for a dog who was afraid of anyone outside of her foster home.

After successfully completing her training, Natasha was finally ready to find her forever home, but her adopter was not the right fit for her. Natasha returned to her foster home and eventually ended up getting adopted by her wonderful foster family--they have other dogs and kids that Natasha loves playing with. We believe that Natasha will be able to truly live her best life with her amazing new family.

Of course, Natasha's new life wouldn't have been possible without our generous supporters and awesome partners at CUDDLY who helped share Natasha's remarkable story and made her lifesaving treatment and adoption possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking a chance on Natasha and giving her the life she deserves.
