Bailey

This is Bailey, an adorable sweetheart who nearly lost her life after getting tossed out of a fast-moving vehicle onto a busy highway in southern Alabama.

Bailey suffered a severe facial injury that resulted in the loss of her left eye and potential blindness in the remaining eye. She was also diagnosed with phthisis bulbi, a clinical condition that causes permanent vision loss and lock of control/mobility in the affected eye.

Over time, Bailey's eyes filled with pressure and the vessels eventually ruptured; she underwent emergency surgery to remove the damaged eye and alleviate the unrelenting agony. Fortunately, the surgery was a success and Bailey is now pain-free. 

According to our vet, Bailey was already blind in her damaged eye, so removing it hasn't had much effect on her behavior or movement. In fact, she is in much better spirits now that she is living pain free. 

Great news! Bailey was adopted into a loving forever home and is excited to start her journey with her new family. Sweet Bailey gets to sleep in her very own dog bed and explore the beautiful creeks and woods that surround her new home. She even found some wild deer to play with!

Bailey's incredible journey has been filled with heartbreak and triumph but her life is now beautifully blessed. We are so grateful and happy that sweet Bailey has finally found her happily ever after.
